Spring is just around the corner, and the Chico Certified Farmers’ Market (CCFM) is celebrating the change in season with some growth of their own. On Saturday, March 21, 2015 the farmers’ market at 2nd & Wall Streets in Downtown Chico is EXPANDING. The farmers’ market will be growing in to a new aisle, along 3rd Street.

After 23 years in Municipal Parking Lot #1, the expansion will add more than 20 vendor spaces and allow for additional space for current vendors, provide seating for customers, and create a community area for food demonstrations, educational events, and cultural celebrations. In addition, the market will feature a scheduled performance area. Artists interested in performing at the market are encouraged to call (530) 893-3276.

Come see what’s NEW at the farmers’ market 7:30am-1pm every Saturday, year-round, rain or shine. Ride your bike and take advantage of the FREE Bike Valet Parking, provided by Chico Velo Cycling Club in the market at the corner of 3rd & Wall St.

The CCFM brings fresh quality locally grown food, and handmade artisan products to Northern California communities at our markets in Chico, Oroville, and Paradise. In addition to the year-round market on Saturdays in Downtown Chico, CA the CCFM operates four seasonal markets: Tuesday Paradise, Wednesday Chico, Thursday Paradise, and Saturday Oroville . At the Chico Certified Farmers’ Markets shoppers can find an unlimited selection of fresh picked, locally grown fruit, vegetables, nuts, honey, olive oil, rice, grass fed beef, lamb, ham, chicken, pork, eggs, herbs, flowers, plants, fresh baked artisan breads, handcrafts and prepared foods.
