Farmer Feature: Yang’s Farm

If you love colorful, friendly farm stands and farmers, you’ve probably already found your way to Yang’s Farm! Kari, daughter of the founder, now owns and operates the farm. They have five acres here in Chico maintained just by Kari and her mother (that’s five acres run by two people!) but often have help from her sister Rachel and other family members at the market.

They are a very family oriented farm and pride themselves on being social, friendly, and fun! Yang’s Farm was started by Kari’s mother 30 years ago for a church program whose purpose was to donate food to those less fortunate. Today, Yang’s Farm still loves to donate to nursing homes and food banks and really values feeding the community healthy foods. 

At both the Wednesday and Saturday Market in Chico, you can’t beat their astounding variety of gorgeous produce. From garlic and herbs, to beautiful bouquets, to summer squash, tomatoes, green beans, onions, peppers of all kinds, and so much more, you guaranteed to be happy with your purchase and make some new friends along the way!
