Farmer Feature: Happy Campers Candy and Bakery

If you thought Farmers’ Markets were only for produce, think again! All sorts of local snacks, tasty treats, and carefully crafted artisanal products can be found at the Chico Certified Farmers’ Market! Happy Campers Candy and Bakery has been at the Saturday Morning Farmers’ Market since 2008, bringing us just that; local, quality, delicious granola and candies.

When Antony Tickle started Happy Campers in 2002 he had been baking for over 30 years. He was fully employed as a professional baker, but wanted a fun hobby in the food industry, and thus, Happy Campers was born.

Starting with just candy, he eventually made over 15 varieties of toffee and now also makes eight kinds of granola, two different muesli cereals, and more fun treats (peanut butter toffee cookies anyone?). Even more good news: this granola is guilt free! Happy Campers uses all natural, quality ingredients, and many kinds of their granola is sweetened only with apply juice!

Antony prides himself on being a customer based business. Customer loyalty and happiness is his number one goal, allowing him to sell his all natural granola at incredible prices.
