Farmer Feature: Citrus Norte

By 28 December 2018

If you look forward to citrus season every year, you’re probably already familiar with Citrus Norte, a seasonal citrus farm at the Saturday Morning Farmers’ Market! Owner Bill Clarke has been farming in Orland for years and years, and has been a market member since 1985!

While Citrus Norte is a seasonal vendor and is only at the market from November to about January or February, while they’re here they are selling some of the best citrus around! And even better news, they are celebrating their first year harvesting as Certified Organic! They are now local and organic!

If you’re looking for the freshest, most in season citrus fruit, look no further – Citrus Norte has you covered. They have mandarins from November to January, then start phasing in Meyer and Eureka lemons, and then, as the mandarins take their leave, blood oranges, grapefruits, and tangelos with start the make an appearance. A whole winter of wonderfully fresh citrus – sounds just perfect! Come this Saturday and get your first fill of local, organic citrus!
