Farmer Feature: Williamson Farms

What better time to enjoy this farm stand than May, National Strawberry Month! At the Williamson Farms market booth you’ll find baskets upon baskets of perfect, sweet, ruby red strawberries (their claim to fame), as well as avocados, which they grown in San Diego county.

Sheri Williamson, owner of Williamson Farms, has been sharing their family owned and operated treats with the Chico Certified Farmers’ Market for over 25 years! Williamson Farms is truly a family affair – Sheri’s father has been farming for 60 years, her brother is also a farmer, and her nephew joins her to work the stand every market. They are proud to have lots of family members in agriculture, ensuring that they understand farming and their products. It’s a win win for the Williamson family – they always have jobs for family and great berries for the community!

Williamson Farms uses sustainable practices, are currently expanding their berry production so they have even more berries to bring to farmers markets! They’re only around from mid March until mid to late fall, so come get these delights at the Chico Saturday Farmers’ Market while you can!
