Farewell Beber 💙
After 12 years of serving delicious fresh almond milk to our community, Beber Almond Milk has announced that they will close operations at the end of the month. We are heartbroken by the news and are incredibly sad to see such a beloved local business go. CEO and Founder Arielle Danan started Beber Almond Milk in 2012 at 19 years old with 30 quarts of homemade almond milk and a booth at the Chico Certified Farmer’s Market. From that start her business grew, reaching into 24 other farmer’s markets, more than 65 natural grocery stores, and several local coffee shops and restaurants. Over the years they’ve debuted several new flavors like strawberry, almond nog, and chocolate rose; collaborated with other local businesses like Chico Chai and Day Camp Coffee; and blessed us with a wildly delicious new product – popsicles.
In a social media post sharing the sad news, Arielle said the following about her experience running Beber “As I reflect on this journey, I’m deeply humbled by the support I’ve received and want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. I’d like to thank the many mentors and peers in the NorCal business community; every friend and family member who offered their time, effort, and resources; every employee who contributed their hard work, skills, and great ideas; and our valued farmers market and retail partners who helped us share our products. Most importantly, I want to thank you—our loyal customers—whose support and enthusiasm made Beber possible. Cheers to 12 great years and to the next chapter. Thank you from the bottom of my heart”.
Arielle, from all of us at the Chico Certified Farmer’s Market, we want to thank YOU for bringing this community joy and almond milk these last 12 years. We hope your next adventure is even bigger and better, and wish you all the success in the world.
Market-goers, don’t fret! Beber Almond Milk’s last day at the market isn’t till August 17th – you get a whole two weeks to stop by and send them off in style! They will also continue selling at local grocery stores through the end of the month.
Farewell Beber!
