Michael and Meimei Ryan, the husband and wife team of Beans of Paradise have been Micro Roasting Organic coffee since 2006. They’re about as local as it gets, roasting their own beans just up the hill in Magalia. They pride themselves on keeping their business small, local and family run. They roast multiple times a week to provide the freshest roast possible, and are committed to using only Fair Trade coffee, period.

Beans of Paradise offers coffee beans as well as a full coffee shop on wheels! Look for the coffee classics and well as seasonal specials and themes – these two love to experiment with recipes to keep drinks fun, interesting, and creative!

While you can always count on a quality cup of joe from Beans of Paradise at the Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday market, they also do events all over the community. And community really matters to Meimei and Michael – they offer something at their stand called the Pay it Forward Board, giving all customers the opportunity to buy someone in need a drink. It can be whoever they feel like sharing with, and, as Michael says, it makes smiles on both ends! It feels good to give, so come support local coffee and community attitude this Saturday at the Chico Certified Farmers’ Market!
