Farmer Feature: It’s Tulip Time at Down to Earth Nursery!

The much anticipated Charles White and his beautiful potted flowers are back at the Chico Certified Farmers’ Market – a telltale sign that spring is on it’s way!

Our friendly neighborhood flower farmer is in season right now, growing a stunning variety of hyacinth, tulips, crocus, daffodils, muscari (grape hyacinth) and more! All just a couple miles from the market in Chico – it doesn’t get much more local than that!

Charles, whose relationship with flowers bloomed from just arranging them to growing them (starting with tulips “just for fun”) has now been growing a vast variety of flowers for over 20 years!

Down to Earth Nursery is only around until April this season, so make sure to tiptoe to his tulips (at both the Wednesday and Saturday Morning Farmers’ Market) before they’re gone until next year!
